Co-founder Jenny Ngo, a pastry chef, opened Telescope in 2021 and moved to 6th Street in 2023. Daily Coffee News reported in 2023 that pastries and focaccias are made in house. The coffee comes from Cosmic Dust, a roaster Jenny Huynh founded in 2019, and the two businesses developed a custom blend together.
The room is double height on the ground floor of a newer building, with a pink-painted counter topped in white marble along one side and a neon telescope sign on a pink wall. Floor-to-ceiling windows frosted with the logo face the street, and small tables and a yellow banquette run along the glass.
