The Piccino restaurant on 22nd Street dates to 2006, and the coffee bar next door opened in 2012. As of October 2026 it pours Bassline Coffee, a roaster founded in Oakland by Brad Katz, including a Bassline blend made only for Piccino. Pastries and prepared foods are made in house, and the website lists a Friday 5 p.m. dog meetup called Yappy Hour.
